Mark-making

  Lettering led to mark-making. Using ruling pens, fingers, folded pens, fists, bamboo, brushes…

I felt that working with less familiar tools an using whole-arm and gestural movement would lead me to more lively letterforms. It did! It also opened up a world of expressive and direct forms that I found exciting.
